GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE:

Google started in January 1996. It was the result of a research project by Lawrence Page and Sergey Brin; two PhD students at Stanford University, California, USA. The name “Google” originated from the misspelling of the word “googol” which means “A very large number. In other words, Google means “a numeral with one hundred zeros after it” which is designed to handle a large amount of information by this search engine.

Initially, Google ran under the Stanford University website, with the domain google.stanford.edu. Google appeared with the registered domain name on September 15, 1997, and officially Google was incorporated on September 4, 1998.

Some basic information about Google Search Engine:

URL : https://www.google.co.in

Type of Search Engine: Crawler-based search engine

Name of Google crawler: Googlebot

Position among Search Engines: First

Available Language: 133

Googlebot is nothing but software used to crawl websites/web pages. It is very advanced in searching software and searches most kinds of websites including the blogging website to small, medium or large corporate websites.

Google algorithm determines how many web Pages/websites to be crawled during each visit to your website.  You or anybody cannot offer payment to Google for increasing crawling frequency on your website. This is a good thing for a small blogger like you and me.

The Googlebot investigates available websites and records a brief description of the website in search engine databases. When a user enters a search query in the search area and hit the search button, it provides the most relevant search results by gathering information from the databases.

Google can deal with a large number of parameters on your webpage but Google also recommends keeping parameters short and few in number on your webpage.
